Filming for ‘The Conjuring 2’ Officially Started
The shooting of The Conjuring 2 is officially underway. It seems that the franchise will focus on the events that have taken place in real-life paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren’s, career. Hopefully not everything that is notable in their career will be covered, as it is pretty extensive.
During the first day of shooting, James Wan had the set blessed. Yes, blessed. Maybe this is some sort of stunt that James is pulling to gain a larger following, I’m not sure. I wouldn’t think that it’s needed due to his success with Furious 7 but I sure do hope he leaves Vin Diesel and imported sports cars parked in the garage.
The second installment of The Conjuring will loosely focus on the Enfield poltergeist, which tormented 2 young sisters in England. Most paranormal investigators and police officials feel that this haunting is genuine due to the first hand experiences they had while the investigation was ongoing. There’s tons of information about this all over the web but my favorite article can be found here.
Since Wan had plenty of time off from the horror genre, I’m hoping he brings his A game to the next film in this franchise.
Do you have any first hand experiences with the paranormal?
